Before you decide
Can we create a card from a message?
Not in this one. It runs into the chat so the team sees the board without living in it. If turning a message into a card is what you actually want, describe it and we price it.
How do we keep it quiet enough to read?
Pick the lists and the moves worth posting, and leave the rest out. You can add more later; taking noise away after people have muted the channel is harder.
Can different boards post to different channels?
Yes, and it needs a webhook per channel because that is how Discord works. Making three webhooks takes about a minute, and you paste them once.
Can we post to a private channel?
Yes. The webhook is created inside the channel itself, so whatever permissions that channel has are the permissions the posts inherit. Nothing about the board decides who sees what.
Anything to know about Discord?
A webhook posts into the one channel it was made for, so a second channel means a second webhook.
Anything to know about Trello?
The token belongs to the member who created it, so cards appear as created by that person, and the connection stops if they leave the workspace.
