monday.com and Trello, ready to switch on

A Trello card becomes an item on the monday.com board you choose, moving the card changes the column values you mapped, and an item created in monday.com comes back as a card. You paste two keys in your account and it runs, in about ten minutes.

No setup fee, cancel any month, and a person on live chat if a key doesn't work.

Ten minutes of your time, then it's ours

  1. Pay and open your account
Card or invoice, about two minutes. This integration is already selected.
  2. Paste the monday.com API token and the Trello key and token
Each has a short guide. About six minutes. If one doesn't work, a person joins the chat.
  3. Create one test item
A minute or two. Create a item in monday.com, watch its twin appear in Trello, then close one and watch the other close.

When monday.com or Trello changes its API, we fix it within a working day. You don't get a ticket to solve.

Before you decide

Which one is the source of truth?

Neither, and that is why the loop guard matters. Each team works where it prefers, and the twin follows. If you would rather one side be read-only, say so and we set it that way.

Do subtasks and checklists come across?

The top level does, with title, dates and assignee. Subtasks and checklists differ so much between these two that we treat them as a custom job rather than pretending they map cleanly.

Which monday.com columns get filled?

The ones you point at while connecting. monday.com addresses columns by id rather than by name, so we map them once and renaming a column later changes nothing.

Do we have to rebuild our board first?

No. We read the columns you already have and map them to the Trello fields, so the board keeps its shape. The only thing we add is a column holding the id that ties an item to its card.

What happens to a Trello card with no due date?

The item is created without a date rather than with today's. An empty date column is honest; a made-up one quietly ruins a timeline view a week later.

Anything to know about monday.com?

The API is GraphQL and priced by complexity, so a big backfill arrives in steps rather than all at once, while day to day changes are immediate.

Anything to know about Trello?

The token belongs to the member who created it, so cards appear as created by that person, and the connection stops if they leave the workspace.

What if mine is a bit different?

Tell us what should go where in plain words. Small changes to the rules above are usually free; bigger ones we price the same day and build into the same account.
