Slack and Discord, ready to switch on

Messages posted in the Slack channel you choose are copied into the Discord channel of your server, so a team that works in Slack keeps a community in Discord informed without writing everything twice. You paste two keys in your account and it runs, in about ten minutes.

No setup fee, cancel any month, and a person on live chat if a key doesn't work.

How to set up Slack and Discord

Ten minutes of your time, then it's ours.

  1. Choose Slack and Discord
Press Connect. This pair is already selected on the checkout page at $39 a month, and there's nothing else to pick.
  2. Pay and open your account
Card or invoice, about two minutes. The account opens with this integration waiting for its two keys.
  3. Paste the Slack bot token and the Discord channel webhook
    • Slack bot token: open api.slack.com/apps and create an app from scratch in your workspace. Full Slack guide
    • Discord channel webhook: in Discord open your server settings, then Integrations, then Webhooks, and press New Webhook. Full Discord guide
Each screen carries the full guide with the exact menu names, about seven minutes for both.
  4. We check both keys
Each key is checked against Slack's and Discord's own API the moment you paste it. If one doesn't pass, the screen says what to fix, and a person joins the chat if that isn't enough.
  5. Post one test message, then it's Running
A minute or two. Write in the channel you chose and watch it appear in Discord. From then on we watch it for you.

When Slack or Discord changes its API, we fix it within a working day. You don't get a ticket to solve.

$39a month

Before you decide

Which way does it run?

The direction is fixed while connecting, and where the receiving side can only post, such as a webhook, it is one way by nature. Say which side people write in and we set it that way.

Can we pick which messages go?

Yes. All messages in the channel is the default. A prefix or an emoji reaction you choose can mark the ones that go, so a drafting channel doesn't leak.

Anything to know about Slack?

The bot has to be invited to a channel before it can post there; that's one command in Slack.

Anything to know about Discord?

A webhook posts into the one channel it was made for, so a second channel means a second webhook.

What if mine is a bit different?

Tell us what should go where in plain words. Small changes to the rules above are usually free; bigger ones we price the same day and build into the same account.
