WooCommerce and Telegram, ready to switch on

A new order arrives in the Telegram group you choose with the items and the total, and the message is updated when the order goes from processing to completed or is refunded. You paste two keys in your account and we switch it on for you.

No setup fee, cancel any month, and a person on live chat if a key doesn't work.

How to set up WooCommerce and Telegram

A few minutes of your time, then it's ours.

  1. Choose WooCommerce and Telegram
Press Connect. This pair is already selected on the checkout page at $39 a month, and there's nothing else to pick.
  2. Pay and open your account
Card or invoice, about two minutes. The account opens with this integration waiting for its two keys.
  3. Paste the WooCommerce REST API keys and the Telegram bot token
    • WooCommerce REST API keys: in WordPress open WooCommerce, then Settings, then Advanced, then REST API, and press Add key. Full WooCommerce guide
    • Telegram bot token: open @BotFather in Telegram and press Start. Full Telegram guide
Each screen carries the full guide with the exact menu names, about five minutes for both.
  4. We check both keys
Each key is checked against WooCommerce's and Telegram's own API the moment you paste it. If one doesn't pass, the screen says what to fix, and a person joins the chat if that isn't enough.
  5. Place one test order, then we switch it on
A minute or two. Create a test order in WooCommerce and watch the post arrive in the chat. From then on we watch it for you. A person checks the setup and switches it on, within a working day.

When WooCommerce or Telegram changes its API, we fix it within a working day. You don't get a ticket to solve.

$39a month
  • Everything in the table above, with monitoring on.
  • Fixes when either app changes its API.
  • A person on live chat, weekdays 10:00 to 19:00 EET.
  • Custom logic beyond the table is priced separately.

Before you decide

Every order, really?

If that suits you. Shops with a lot of small orders usually post the ones above a sum they choose and take the rest in the daily line.

Can we answer the buyer from the chat?

Not in this one. It runs into the chat so the team sees the shop without opening it. If you want replies to reach the buyer, describe it and we price it.

Does it work if our shop is behind a maintenance plugin?

As long as the REST API answers over HTTPS, yes. A plugin that puts the whole site behind a login blocks it too, so allow the API path or switch maintenance mode off before you connect.

Which order statuses post?

Processing and completed by default, since those mean money and a parcel. On hold and pending can be added if your store uses them for something a person should see.

Anything to know about WooCommerce?

The REST API needs pretty permalinks switched on in WordPress, otherwise the API address doesn't answer at all.

Anything to know about Telegram?

A bot can't read messages sent before it was added to a chat, so old conversations stay where they are.

What if mine is a bit different?

Tell us what should go where in plain words. Small changes to the rules above are usually free; bigger ones we price within a working day and build into the same account.
