Each key is checked against ActiveCampaign's and Google Sheets's own API the moment you paste it. If one doesn't pass, the screen says what to fix, and a person joins the chat if that isn't enough.

Can I load an old list this way?

You can. Think about consent first: we add what you put in the sheet, and whether those people agreed is yours to answer.

Why do rows go back on a schedule?

Google Sheets doesn't announce cell changes, so we look every few minutes. Out of ActiveCampaign it's within seconds.

Can the sheet start an automation?

Yes. A row with a tag column joins the list and gets the tag, and whatever automation watches that tag starts on its own. It's the cheapest way to run a campaign from a list somebody typed up.

Anything to know about ActiveCampaign?

The API key belongs to the user who made it, so the integration acts with that user's permissions and shows up in the account as that user.

Anything to know about Google Sheets?

Google Sheets doesn't tell anyone when a cell changes, so anything we read back out of a sheet is picked up on a short schedule rather than the moment you type it.
