Mailchimp and Stripe, ready to switch on
A successful payment adds the buyer to the Mailchimp audience you choose and tags them with the plan, while a cancellation swaps that tag so the next campaign treats them properly. You paste two keys in your account and it runs, in about ten minutes.
No setup fee, cancel any month, and a person on live chat if a key doesn't work.

What moves, and when
The details you would normally get after a sales call. Here they are up front.
| What | Direction | When | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paying customer joins the audience | Stripe to Mailchimp | Within seconds | Added to the audience you choose and tagged with the plan they bought |
| Cancelled subscription | Stripe to Mailchimp | Within seconds | The customer tag comes off and the one you keep for leavers goes on |
| Failed payment | Stripe to Mailchimp | Within seconds | Tagged so your own sequence can ask for another card, while we send nothing ourselves |
| Refund | Stripe to Mailchimp | Within seconds | Tagged, because somebody who was refunded shouldn't get the upsell campaign that week |
| Consent stays yours | In Mailchimp | Always | We add and tag; whether they're subscribed and what they receive is decided in Mailchimp |

Before you decide
Does it send any email itself?
No. It tags and it fills fields. What goes out, when and to whom stays inside Mailchimp, where your consent and your unsubscribes live.
Which payments count?
Successful charges and paid invoices. A card that fails is tagged as a failure, not as a sale, so the paying list stays honest.
Does a refund remove somebody from the audience?
No, it tags them. Deleting people from an audience is not something an integration should decide, and in Mailchimp a permanent delete can't be undone through the API.
Anything to know about Mailchimp?
The data center is part of the key itself, the bit after the dash, so that one key is all we need to reach your account.
Anything to know about Stripe?
A restricted key with read access can only read. It can't move money, and we never ask for your secret key.
What if mine is a bit different?
Tell us what should go where in plain words. Small changes to the rules above are usually free; bigger ones we price the same day and build into the same account.
