Before you decide

Does it need Airtable's Jira sync switched on?

No. It uses a personal access token scoped to the base and a Jira API token, on any Airtable plan that gives you tokens. The two can run side by side if you like the synced table too.

Which view starts an issue?

The one you name, usually a filtered view like Approved for build. Records outside it stay in the base.

What integrations does Airtable have?
