We check both keys

Each key is checked against Google Sheets's and Notion's own API the moment you paste it. If one doesn't pass, the screen says what to fix, and a person joins the chat if that isn't enough.

Before you decide

Why a minute and not seconds?

Google Sheets doesn't announce cell changes, so we check on a short schedule. Out of Notion it's within seconds.

What if two people edit the same thing?

The last change wins, and we never overwrite a column we don't own. Name a winning side if that isn't enough.

Can a Notion formula or rollup go to the sheet?

Yes, read one way. Formula and rollup properties land in the row like any other column, and they can't be written back, because Notion computes them. Editing that cell in the sheet changes nothing.

Which property types can the sheet fill?

Text, number, select, date and checkbox map straight across. People and relation properties are matched by name where we can and left empty where we can't, rather than guessed.

Anything to know about Google Sheets?

Google Sheets doesn't tell anyone when a cell changes, so anything we read back out of a sheet is picked up on a short schedule rather than the moment you type it.

Anything to know about Notion?

An integration only sees the pages and databases you have connected it to, so a database nobody shared with it stays invisible even to a valid key.
