Pipedrive and WhatsApp, ready to switch on

WhatsApp dialogues are written onto the person and shown in their deal, replies go out from the deal you have open, and an answer from the client closes the activity so the deal stops looking untouched. You paste two keys in your account and we switch it on for you.

No setup fee, cancel any month, and a person on live chat if a key doesn't work.

How to set up Pipedrive and WhatsApp

A few minutes of your time, then it's ours.

  1. Choose Pipedrive and WhatsApp
Press Connect. This pair is already selected on the checkout page at $49 a month, and there's nothing else to pick.
  2. Pay and open your account
Card or invoice, about two minutes. The account opens with this integration waiting for its two keys.
  3. Paste the Pipedrive API token and the WhatsApp Business key
    • Pipedrive API token: in Pipedrive open your profile picture, then Personal preferences, then API. Full Pipedrive guide
    • WhatsApp Business key: open Meta for Developers, your app, then WhatsApp, then API setup. Full WhatsApp guide
Each screen carries the full guide with the exact menu names, about eight minutes for both.
  4. We check both keys
Each key is checked against Pipedrive's and WhatsApp's own API the moment you paste it. If one doesn't pass, the screen says what to fix, and a person joins the chat if that isn't enough.
  5. Send one test message, then we switch it on
A minute or two. Write to your number from WhatsApp and watch it land in the deal. A person checks the setup and switches it on, within a working day.

When Pipedrive or WhatsApp changes its API, we fix it within a working day. You don't get a ticket to solve.

Before you decide

Which WhatsApp does this need?

The official WhatsApp Business API from Meta, on a number you own. The app on a phone has no API, so it can't be connected. If you don't have the API yet, tell us and we walk you through it.

Which pipeline do new chats open in?

The one you name while connecting, at its first stage. If you would rather nothing was created until a person answers, say so and we set it that way.

Does it count as activity on the deal?

Yes, and that is the point. Pipedrive marks quiet deals as rotting, and a real conversation in WhatsApp used to leave no trace. Now the reply closes the activity and schedules the next one.

Whose name is on the note?

The user whose API token connected it, unless you make a dedicated user for the integration, which is what we suggest. Then notes read as coming from the integration, not from a colleague.

What if mine is a bit different?

Tell us what should go where in plain words. Small changes to the rules above are usually free; bigger ones we price within a working day and build into the same account.
