Asana and Notion, ready to switch on
An item in the Notion database you connect becomes a task in the Asana project you choose, with the due date and the owner, and closing it on either side closes its twin. You paste two keys in your account and it runs, in about ten minutes.
No setup fee, cancel any month, and a person on live chat if a key doesn't work.

What moves, and when
The details you would normally get after a sales call. Here they are up front.
| What | Direction | When | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Notion item becomes an Asana task | Notion to Asana | Within seconds | Title, the date property you nominate and the person, in the Asana project you choose |
| Asana task becomes a Notion item | Asana to Notion | Within seconds | Created in the database with the Asana section written into your status property |
| Completion | Both ways | When either side is closed | Completing the task sets the Notion status you mapped, and ticking it in Notion completes the task |
| Comments | Both ways | Within seconds | An Asana comment becomes a comment on the page, with the author named |
| Nothing bounces | Both ways | Every change | A change we wrote is never written back, so a task doesn't reopen itself overnight |

Before you decide
Which one is the source of truth?
Neither, and that is why the loop guard matters. Each team works where it prefers, and the twin follows. If you would rather one side be read-only, say so and we set it that way.
Do subtasks and checklists come across?
The top level does, with title, dates and assignee. Subtasks and checklists differ so much between these two that we treat them as a custom job rather than pretending they map cleanly.
What about Notion properties we invented ourselves?
The ones you name are mapped to Asana fields while connecting. Anything with no home in Asana goes into the task description, which beats dropping it quietly.
Do Asana sections and Notion statuses have to match?
They have to be mapped, not matched. You keep your own words on both sides and we write the pairs down once, so Ready for review can meet In review without anyone renaming anything.
What about a Notion page that isn't in a database?
It stays a page. Only database items carry the properties we read and write, so loose pages in the sidebar are left alone, which is usually what people want from their notes anyway.
Anything to know about Asana?
A personal access token acts as your user, so tasks are created in your name and only in projects that user can see.
Anything to know about Notion?
An integration only sees the pages and databases you have connected it to, so a database nobody shared with it stays invisible even to a valid key.
What if mine is a bit different?
Tell us what should go where in plain words. Small changes to the rules above are usually free; bigger ones we price the same day and build into the same account.
