Asana and Stripe, ready to switch on
Failed charges, disputes and cancelled subscriptions become tasks in the Asana project you choose, carrying the amount, the customer and the deadline Stripe sets for evidence. You paste two keys in your account and it runs, in about ten minutes.
No setup fee, cancel any month, and a person on live chat if a key doesn't work.

What moves, and when
The details you would normally get after a sales call. Here they are up front.
| What | Direction | When | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| A failed charge becomes somebody's task | Stripe to Asana | Within seconds | In the project you keep for finance, assigned by name, with the amount and the reason the bank gave |
| Disputes carry their deadline | Stripe to Asana | Within seconds | The date Stripe sets becomes the due date, which is what puts it in somebody's My tasks this week |
| The churn call | Stripe to Asana | When a subscription is cancelled | A task to ring them, with the plan and how long they were a customer |
| Onboarding starts itself | Stripe to Asana | When a subscription starts | Your onboarding template is copied for the new customer, if you want that |
| Nothing flows back to the money | In Asana | Always | The key we hold can read Stripe and do nothing else, so no task can touch a payment |

Before you decide
Does anything go back into Stripe?
No. Money is read, never written. Closing a task changes nothing about the payment, which is how it should be.
Which events deserve a task?
Start with failures and disputes, since those have a deadline. Successful payments are worth a task only if somebody actually does something when one arrives.
Who should the finance tasks be assigned to?
One person, by name, chosen while connecting. Payment chasing that lands in a shared project with no assignee is the work that quietly stops happening in the second week.
Anything to know about Asana?
A personal access token acts as your user, so tasks are created in your name and only in projects that user can see.
Anything to know about Stripe?
A restricted key with read access can only read. It can't move money, and we never ask for your secret key.
What if mine is a bit different?
Tell us what should go where in plain words. Small changes to the rules above are usually free; bigger ones we price the same day and build into the same account.
